Nutrition plays an important role in caring for people with cancer. The disease, its treatment and their side effects can all contribute to a poor dietary intake. It is therefore important for patients to receive care from qualified Dietitians to monitor their nutritional status, to help prevent weight loss and malnutrition and to achieve the best possible state of health whilst receiving treatment.
After treatment, the Dietitians can assist in the planning of diets to help with the prevention of further cancers by using the latest dietary research and explaining the role of anticancer nutrients found in many foods.
We are registered with a number of insurance companies and are happy to receive referrals from both patients and healthcare professionals.
